"No single sort of garden suits everyone.
Shut your eyes and dream of the garden
you'd most love then open your eyes
and start planting."

The Fork and Shovel Designs is a landscape design studio based in the Northern Rivers. Originally from Sydney, Jenny completed a Bachelor of Design at UNSW COFA, followed by studies in Landscape Design and Horticulture at Ryde TAFE, later gaining Permaculture Design Certification.
Over her career she has hands-on experience working in nurseries and alongside leading landscape architects and designers.
Spending an extended amount of time living in Sweden and Japan, she is now settled in the lush Northern Rivers region, passionate about designing outdoor spaces that truly reflect her clients' lifestyles and how they engage with their homes.
Jenny values the personal connection needed between client and designer, customising landscape designs that connect the client with their surroundings.
"Jen was fantastic. Very helpful throughout the planning and execution of a complete revamp of our back garden. She's an excellent listener with a great work ethic and solid sense of humour, and the plants are still thriving! Highly recommended."

"Jenny visited our new property at Pottsville recently to help us understand the garden we have inherited from the previous owners. We have lived in an apartment for 30+ years so practical garden knowledge is limited. Over an hour or so Jenny regaled us with plant descriptions and names and possibilities. Her follow-up report gave us the confidence to start attacking the garden ourselves, knowing who to call on for professional advice as we develop further."
